Spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Transfiguration by Ojo Victoria Ilemobayo

When I was in my mother’s womb;
Kicking, turning & struggling to be free,
I heard a sweet soul-saving voice, telling me to come.
& my breath mixed with the breathing of the earth.

My feet were made solid,
& mixed with tender terrifying terrains.
I was transfixed on which path to trudge,
I looked left, right & left again,
I joined the park.

For ten thousand years, I engulfed the Dust of Death.
My spirit is baseless & breaking,
my soul is downcast within me.
I sober up & gaze at the reflection of the sun,
Again, that same sweet soul-saving voice came.

Now my life is a pack of testimonies,
my soul bubbling up to an unending peace.
now my life is like an emissary of love & light
& happy shall I be till eternity.
